Quick and painless. Product knowledge and expertise. Care. Extra effort. Professional and patient. Efficiency. Trust. Confidence. These are a few of the words clients have used to describe their experience with top mortgage professional Allycyn Bennett, Loan Manager with Sandstone Financial in Newport Beach, California. With 30 years of success in the mortgage lending business, her reputation as a leading loan officer in Orange County is well earned. She has closed more than $95 million in loans in a single year and has achieved a 99.5% closed-to-origination ratio. Allycyn credits much of her success to the fact that, in her 30-year career, she has typically had some affiliation with major real estate companies. These affiliations have allowed her to develop close working relationships with top real estate professionals and afford her the rather unique opportunity to be an integral part of their business. “It has provided an invaluable marketing platform,” she adds, noting that some of these agents are also among her most loyal clients. Among all of her qualities, Allycyn believes it is her tenacity and her integrity that set her apart the most. “I am anything but lazy,” she says. “I am always working, constantly on my phone or computer, never less than ten to 12 hours a day, so that people can truly rely on me.” For instance, she is ever vigilant about anticipating problems and being ready with solutions. One client has summed up her experience with Allycyn this way: “Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. What I appreciate is your concern and willingness to get a solution so fast, and that you were not satisfied with the first answer. Your motivation on my behalf to delve deeper into the matter further built my trust in you.” “People appreciate my energy level and efficiency, Allycyn reflects, which she bolsters by operating by the dictum, &;t over commit and under deliver.; Allycyn services all types, amounts and complexities of loans throughout California. Thanks to her networking system of more than 50 lending institutions, clients benefit from her access to every type of loan product available on the market, which allows her to be persistent and to customize loan packages based on each client’s specific credit picture. These factors, along with all of the regulatory changes in the industry since the market downturn, make for a career that Allycyn genuinely loves. “Mortgage lending is never boring,” she insists. “Every day is different. In the 30 years I’ve been originating loans, no day has been the same.” She was first exposed to mortgage lending as a junior at UCLA. A double major in political science and history with plans to go to law school, she did an internship at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington D.C. That exposure was enough for her to change her mind about her career. After graduation, she worked with three of Southern California’s major lending companies and has been with Sand- stone Financial, an independent mortgage firm, for 11 years. Allycyn has been a part of the Assistance League of Tustin, California and its Winifred Campbell Auxiliary for most of her adult life. The Assistance League recently opened up their membership to boys, which allowed her son to participate while in high school. Her son now attends USC and is captain of the USC Men’s Rugby team. Allycyn also has a younger daughter who plays beach and indoor volleyball. When she’s not working, volunteering with the Assistance League or attending family sporting events, Allycyn loves the beach, shopping and decorating homes. In addition, she currently tutors middle and high school students in Spanish.
